ORANGE ORIENTEERING CUP RULES

​

Competition ranking will be the time result of both forest stages (Stage 1 & 3). Participation in urban sprint race (Stage 2) is also required in any category. In case of equal time result of two or more competitors, the winner will be decided by a better ranking in the sprint. MP, DNS or DNF results on one or more stages means disqualification from overall competition ranking.

A small prize giving ceremony for Kids, Beginners, MW10, MW12, MW14, MW16, MW18 will take a place after each stage. There will also be a prize-giving ceremony for SSOL and SOL after Stages 2 and 3.

​

Prize giving ceremony for overall Orange Orienteering Cup clasification will be held after last stage as soon as all relevant competitors for high places finish the race. At the same time we will draw a special prize recipient of a quality sport item from our sponsor.

​​OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

​

• Maps will be printed on a waterproof paper (Pretex®).

• The info point in the competition centre closes 30 minutes after the first start of each stage.

• All additional category and start times changes are regulated at info point in the competition center. Changes has to be announced at least one hour prior to the first start.

• Kids, beginers and open category have open start on start control.

• Import of alcoholic beverages, pyrotechnics, weapons and other dangerous objects and substances is prohibited.

• The event will be audio and video recorded for the needs of club and orienteering promotion. By registering for the competition, the competitor agrees to use the recordings obtained for this purpose.

• By submitting the online registration form, each competitor directly agrees that they will compete in the competition at they own risk.

• Kids, beginners and the open category will have an open start at the start control. 

• There will be a treasure hunt at Stages 1 & 3 that uses the same course as the kids' class. Children can use SPORTident (SI) chip if they wish. See information bellow.

• On Saturday 11 April 2026, after Stage 1, you can order a meal at Planinski Dom. On Sunday, 12th April 2026, you can get pasta and pancakes at the venue.
